Exploring Christianity

Try Alpha
Wondering what life’s all about?
Wondering if God exists? Maybe you have asked why there is so much suffering in the world? Does my life have any purpose or meaning beyond the day to day routine?
The Alpha course is a great place to start. More than 2 million people in Britain have been on an Alpha Course, which is recommended and run by all the main Christian denominations in the UK.
Alpha is non-pressurised, non-threatening, fun and informative. It is a chance to meet people and ask the big questions of life in a context where those questions are considered “normal”.
All questions are welcome on Alpha. It is designed for people to freely ask tough questions about life and the Christian faith. And, as it happens, many report, at the end of the course, that through Alpha they made lots of new friends rather quickly.
After enjoying a meal together, each session begins with a short presentation. Next, there is an open discussion about the big question raised by the presentation each week. The discussion will be hosted but the goal is to let others share their thoughts and opinions.
If you try one session of the course, and then decide you don’t want to return, that’s fine. No problem.
Alpha is for anyone. People attend from all backgrounds – atheists, agnostics, different religions and many viewpoints.
