At the Beacon we place a high priority on those in their “Golden Years”. The aim of Golden Years is to provide a welcoming, relaxed and friendly environment for people to come and enjoy lovely homemade cakes and a cup of tea. It also provides an opportunity to introduce people to the Christian faith.
At the coffee mornings there will often be a short talk, from members of the church and community, and the chance to have a good chat with your friends. Once a term Golden Years also arrange outings and lunches.
Golden Years is run by a team of people, headed up by Richard and Julie Birt. It runs at The Beacon Centre, on the Old Dean from 10am on Friday mornings.
If you would like to know more please speak to one of the Welcome Team or email us. Someone from the Golden Years Team will contact you. If you have a problem with transport please contact us and we will see how we can help!
We look forward to seeing you there!
